Yes, they work with pine/hardwood rails and posts.

Can I cut them to fit my preferred size?
Yes, pine is easy to cut with standard tools. Remember to re-treat the cut ends of treated timber with a H3 sealant.
How do I maximise noise reduction?
Install them using a 'lap and capped' method. This involves overlapping the palings 50% along the length of your fence and 'capping' the top of the palings with a 70x38 hardwood rail.
Do I need special fixings to install them?
Standard galvanised fencing screws are suitable to fix these palings to your fencing rails.
Can I paint or stain them?
Absolutely. After you've installed the palings and ensured they're completly dry they can be sanded, stained or painted. When sanding be mindful that the treatment layer coats the outside of the timber, so don't sand too deeply.
How long will they last?
H3-treated pine is durable and resistant to rot and pests with minimal maintenance. You can expect a treated pine fence to last decades with proper maintenance.
Are they suitable for coastal areas?
Yes, but galvanised or stainless fixings are recommended to prevent corrosion.
