Financial Controller (Full Time or Part Time)

🚀 Lead Finance. Shape Strategy. Drive Growth.

At Narangba Timbers, you won’t just report numbers—you’ll shape the commercial direction of the business, partner with the Senior Leadership Team, and drive smarter, faster decision making through data, systems and insight.

🛠 What You’ll Be Doing

As our Finance lead, you’ll own both the financial function and its evolution:

  • Translate financial and operational data into clear, actionable commercial insights
  • Deliver monthly reporting with meaningful analysis and recommendations
  • Identify and implement automation opportunities across reporting, AP/AR, and forecasting through leveraging modern tools and AI (no coding required)
  • Own the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting, including the annual planning cycle
  • Build and maintain robust financial controls and governance frameworks
  • Manage cash flow and forward-looking forecasting models
  • Drive the adoption and integration of finance technology, including AI tools
  • Support the Senior Leadership Team in financial strategy and business planning
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives including Mergers & Acquisitions, capital raising, expansion
  • Deliver scenario modelling and data tools to drive efficient decision making
  • Lead and develop the Accounts Officer, while fostering cross-functional collaboration

📲 What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • CPA or CA qualification
  • Proven experience in a Financial Controller or similar leadership role
  • Strong technical grounding in financial reporting, controls, and budgeting
  • A commercial mindset—you go beyond the numbers
  • Experience with ERP systems and modern finance tools (AI exposure and/or MYOB Acumatica experience highly regarded)
  • Strong leadership skills with the confidence to challenge assumptions constructively
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strategic thinking with the ability to translate insight into action
  • Experience in FMCG or multi-SKU environments (highly desirable)
