Burpengary State School HIVE Garden
A Sensory Space to Explore & Connect
Burpengary State School’s HIVE Garden (short for Happy, Inclusive, Valued & Engaged) is a sensory space designed to support different ways of experiencing the world.
Our ACQ treated pine sleepers were used to help shape the arbour at the garden’s entrance — a welcoming entry point to a space full of sound, scent, texture and play.
Students from the HIVE program were hands-on in both designing and building the garden. In December 2024, they added a sandpit built with our ACQ arissed treated pine sleepers, and a deck made from WBA rippled pine deck boards, decking hardware and cement. These additions give students even more ways to explore and enjoy the garden for years to come.
Kallangur State School Library Garden
Built for Students to Read, Play & Relax
At Kallangur State School, we're proud to have contributed to the creation of the Library Garden, a serene oasis designed for the students' enjoyment and relaxation.
In 2024, our premium merbau decking, screening and solid posts were thoughtfully incorporated into the garden's design. These materials were used to construct inviting seating areas and decks, cleverly shaded by overhead screening.
These spaces provide students with a comfortable environment to unwind, read and engage in play, while also offering essential protection from the sun's rays. It's a testament to our commitment to enhancing educational environments with quality timber solutions.
