What is the difference between regular NewTechWood mini gap clips and mini gap locking clips?

Whilst the regular clips lock between the boards securely, they still allow the decking to breathe (expand & contract) so that it doesn’t warp, distort, or buckle from these movements. The locking clips feature ‘teeth’ that grab onto the boards and control the direction in which the board expansion takes place.
