Why choose COLORBOND® Steel
Got Questions? We’ve Got Answers
COLORBOND® steel is engineered and rigorously tested to guarantee that it can withstand the harsh conditions Australian climate can throw at it. Over the past 50 years, COLORBOND® have been testing their products in various locations across Australia to gain an accurate understanding of how it will perform on real Australian homes.
For the avid DIYer, COLORBOND® is an achievable project with only a couple speciality tools required. All the components of a COLORBOND® fence are made to easily fit together and there is no shortage of information and tutorials online. For the experienced fence builder, COLORBOND® is the preferred fence material due to its ease of installation. You’ll be able to reduce labour costs and get the project completed in less time than typical fence materials.
COLORBOND® steel requires little to no need for cleaning, staining or painting. Even better- there is no need for regular termite or rot inspections due to the resistant nature of steel. If your COLORBOND® fence gets dirty, a simply hose off with the garden hose will wash off any dirt and grime.
With 19 colour options and 2 profile options, there’s a huge amount of colour and style combinations you can choose for your COLORBOND® fence. Our COLOROND® fence panels allow you to choose separate colours for the frame and infill sheets – allowing you to customise your fence even more
COLORBOND® fence panels are designed with no gaps, ledges or holes so that you can maintain a private and secure boundary fence.
Most Australians are no stranger to fire danger. COLORBOND® has built its steel to be non-combustible and suitable for use in bush-fire prone areas. Enjoy peace of mind that your property has one more defence against fire.
COLORBOND® steel is the best choice of fence material if you want to avoid rot and termite damage. With other fence materials, moisture and pests are the number one cause of damaged fences.
The steel base of COLORBOND® is manufactured to meet relevant Australian Standards. Manufactured in Australia to Australian Standards (AS1397 and AS/NZS 2728) and tested in some of the harshest Australian conditions over the last 50 years, genuine COLORBOND® steel is far more than just ‘paint on steel’.
COLORBOND® steel is made and backed by Bluescope. Bluescope are one of Australia’s largest manufacturers and provide warranties subject to application and eligibility criteria.
