What is it?
Diggers Eco In-Ground Timber Protecta is an alternative to creosote. It is non-hazardous bitumen coating that can be used on masonry and timber surfaces to protect them against deterioration and moisture.
Diggers Eco In-Ground Timber Protecta helps increase the life of materials that are outdoors and below the ground. It is most often used on fences, sleepers, veranda posts, garden poles, logs, stakes and retaining walls.
Benefits of Using Diggers Eco In-Ground Timber Protecta
It can be easily applied with a brush, a roller, a sprayer or by dipping. It is formulated to protect timber from rot, mould and other factors that can corrode underground masonry or timber surfaces.
Diggers Eco In-Ground Timber Protecta is certified for use on organic farms and is BFA registered. Diggers Eco In-Ground Timber Protecta has no ingredients that are considered to be harmful by the Australian Safety and Compensation Council. It is considered to be safer than standard timber treatments. It has a UV coating which is flexible and both contracts and expands with the timber.
How to Apply Diggers Eco In-Ground Timber Protecta
Diggers Eco In-Ground Timber Protecta needs to be shaken and stirred before you apply it. You will also need to keep it stirred while using it. When applying Diggers Eco In-Ground Timber Protecta, be sure your timber is free of dirt or dust. Then, apply by spraying, brushing, rolling or dipping. If you are using a brush and it clogs, you can use Diggers kerosene to clean it.
You should apply two coats of Diggers Eco In-Ground Timber Protecta. Wait at least an hour between coats. If you are coating the underground portion of a post, be sure to extend your coating at least 10 cm above the ground.
